Totech Super Dry: Desiccant Dry Cabinet, Dry Box and Dry Storage Specialist

> About us

Totech was founded in Japan during 1974 when we developed the industry’s first auto-refreshing desiccant dry box for the consumer market. Using pre-determined amounts of silica-gel periodically refreshed by a heater on a timer circuit, this breakthrough device was evidence of the technology leadership that drives our global operations today.

In 1982 we were awarded a patent for an ultra-low humidity desiccant dryer which eventually became the foundation for all future drying solutions industry-wide. In 1987, a successful partnership with Texas Instruments saw us design the first ultra-low humidity dry cabinet for use with the company’s electronics manufacturing facilities.

Maintaining constant environments of 10%, 3% and 1% RH, these dry cabinets were the start of our pioneering work in the modern electronics industry.

Totech: A Global MSD Handling Specialist for Every Environment

Since this time, we have established our status as a market leader in Asia and beyond. When the launch of lead-free in Europe created substantially higher processing temperatures, our ability to deliver cutting-edge desiccant dry cabinets, drying ovens and moisture barrier bags made Totech technologies an indispensable part of electronics manufacturing environments in this region.

Indeed, as the understanding and acceptance of the critical nature of humidity control in relation to Moisture Sensitive Devices has grown around the world in both leaded and lead-free environments, we have diversified into other key global markets. Most recently, we have seen our technologies adopted widely in the US and Canada where the adoption of lead-free processing remains poised to expand dramatically in the immediate future.
